Readers Theater is a fun way for kids to build fluency in their reading and to become confident, happy readers!
In this class, we will be working on our reading skills while choosing different plays, folktales, short stories, and poems from familiar literature to present as a class. They will work off scripts for shared reading, partner reading, and small group work. We
will use these scripts to help with repetitive text and sight words, making them easier for these beginning readers to read. While we have fun reading different scripts, we will
also learn the art of inflection. This is a great reading skill and can help bring the stories to life! We will also do some fun crafts and create fun props to help make our stories come to life!
This is an enjoyable and interactive class! Along the way, we will also take a classic
story and create our own script for it. This is a great class to encourage creativity,
memorization, reading skills, and confidence!
All classes are full-year classes. Students enrolled in a Fall Semester class will automatically enroll for the Spring Semester in December to ensure their place in the class. Pricing is per semester.
