Creative Writing: Ignite Your Imagination
Get ready to unleash your inner author! In this exciting and creative course, students will dive into the art of storytelling, poetry, character creation, and personal expression. Whether you're a quiet journal-keeper, a daydreaming novelist-in-the-making, or someone who just wants to try something new, this class is your creative playground.
We’ll explore:
Short stories, flash fiction, and dramatic scenes
 
Free verse, rhymed poetry, and spoken word
 
Journaling, memoir, and creative nonfiction
 
Dialogue, worldbuilding, and character design
 
Writing prompts that spark the imagination
 
Fun group activities, writing games, and challenges
 
Along the way, students will learn how to give and receive helpful feedback in a supportive and friendly environment. We’ll read a few short mentor texts, experiment with writing styles and genres, and even build our own portfolios of work.
No grades for grammar here—just creativity, curiosity, and courage. Whether you want to write for fun, perform your work, publish a piece, or just get your ideas out of your head and onto the page, this class is for you.

All classes are full-year classes. Students enrolled in a Fall Semester class will automatically enroll for the Spring Semester in December to ensure their place in the class. Pricing is per semester.
